Bringing together over 450 artworks that span seventy years of production, Calder: Mostra retrospettiva remains the largest exhibition of the artist’s work ever assembled. The retrospective was curated by Giovanni Carandente and designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Renzo Piano, who transformed Palazzo a Vela—a sports arena built for the Italia ’61 Expo—into a tremendous gallery space that showcased the breadth of Calder’s practice.
