Calder-Picasso
19 February–25 August 2019Musée Picasso, Paris

Calder-Picasso explored the resonances between these two seminal figures of twentieth-century art and revealed a key connection: the exploration of the void, or the absence of space, which each artist defined in his own way, from the figure through to abstraction. The exhibition was curated by the artists’ grandsons, Alexander S. C. Rower and Bernard Ruiz-Picasso.
